Generating business leads through targeted social media messaging for a Contract Research Organisation (CRO).

Tepnel Pharma Services is a Contract Research Organisation (CRO) with clients throughout UK, EU and USA. Based in the heart of the Scottish Life Science industry they provide quality control laboratory analysis services to the pharmaceutical industry to support drug development.

We were asked to generate leads for the Tepnel Pharma Services cGMP sales team, strengthen the social media presence of Tepnel Pharma Services and provide relevant marketing support. The campaign is to promote two specific key services offered by the cGMP team: Batch Release Testing and ICH Stability Testing.

The Solution

We initially identified LinkedIn as the most relevant platform for the target audiences, with messaging also posted across Twitter to increase the reach of the campaign. Messaging was created to communicate the details of the outsourced services offered by the team, specifically focusing on the benefits offered to the target audience. Supporting images and animations were created to increase engagement with the content.

To reach targeted job roles within specific pharmaceutical companies we created a LinkedIn sponsored content campaign to promote relevant messages that directly fed in to the users timelines.

To collect vital leads for the sales team, all the social media content directed users to specific landing pages which provided further information and encouraged completion of a data capture form.

The performance of both the organic and sponsored content was regularly evaluated, and the metrics used to subsequently optimise the campaign.

To maintain engagement rates, we regularly refreshed the messaging and imagery using emotive subjects such as Brexit, Scottish Life Sciences and quotes directly from the Tepnel Pharma Services team regarding the unique benefits of using their services.
